Alignment

We map what carries forward from Greentree, what NetSuite handles out of the box through SuiteSuccess, and what needs to be purpose-built.

Implementation

Your Greentree data is extracted, cleansed and validated before migrating into NetSuite. NetSuite is configured to your business, starting with SuiteSuccess industry packages, with customisations rebuilt only where you genuinely need them. Both systems run in parallel before cutover so your team can validate accuracy and get trained on their specific roles.

Delivered as: A tested NetSuite environment ready for go-live.

Go-live & on-going support

A structured go-live, with support throughout. Greentree is decommissioned on an agreed date once cutover is confirmed. Your Statement of Work typically includes a month of additional support, so you're covered through your first month running live.

Your implementation consultant stays your main point of contact after go-live, remaining part of your team for whatever comes next.

What to Expect Commercially

NetSuite is licensed as an annual subscription, paid from the date of signing. For businesses managing cash flow through the transition, Oracle offers interest-free subscription financing (an activation fee applies).  We work with Oracle on your behalf to secure terms including price locks and renewal caps. Implementation is quoted separately as statement of work delivered at the end of the alignment phase.

Not sure what to expect from a Greentree to NetSuite migration? These are the questions we get asked most, along with honest answers.

Will we lose our Greentree customisations? Not necessarily. The alignment phase includes a full customisation map that identifies what can be replicated in NetSuite natively, what needs to be rebuilt, and what can be retired. You will know the answer before committing to the full migration.
How long does a migration take? For most NZ businesses in the 30 to 150 staff range, the full migration from assessment to go-live runs between 6 and 12 months. Larger or more complex environments take longer. Timeline is confirmed at the alignment phase.
Do we have to move everything at once? No. We recommend a phased approach where core financials go live first, followed by operational modules. This reduces go-live risk and gives your team time to build confidence in the new system.
What happens to our data? Your data is extracted from Greentree, cleaned and validated, then migrated into NetSuite ahead of cutover. You run parallel for a minimum of four weeks before switching over. Nothing is deleted from Greentree until you are confident in the new system.
We're mid-year. Is this a bad time to start? Not at all. The initial phases can begin at any point in the year. Go-live timing is planned to avoid your peak operational periods — typically avoiding month-end, year-end and your busiest trading windows.
Who actually does the work, Verde or Project Salsa? Both, working together. Verde has run your Greentree environment for years and knows its data structures, customisations and quirks inside out. Project Salsa is our dedicated Oracle NetSuite team. For a migration, they're co-delivered: Verde handles the Greentree side of the transition, Project Salsa leads the NetSuite build. It's a single project team, not a handoff between two separate vendors.
What happens to our Greentree licences and support during the migration? Nothing changes until you're ready. Your Greentree licence and support continue as normal through discovery, alignment and build. Both systems run in parallel during testing so your team can validate NetSuite before go-live. Greentree is only decommissioned on an agreed date, once cutover is confirmed.
What does it cost to migrate from Greentree to NetSuite? It depends on your data volumes, customisations and user count, so we don't publish a flat number. After a short discovery session, you'll get a Budget Letter with estimated software and implementation costs, refined into a fixed-scope proposal once we've completed the alignment phase. No surprises, no grey areas.
Can we keep Greentree available for historical data after go-live? Yes. Many clients keep a read-only copy of Greentree available for a period after go-live, purely for looking up historical detail that wasn't brought across in full. Most day-to-day reporting and transactional history moves into NetSuite as part of the migration, so this is usually just a safety net rather than something you'll use often. We'll agree the approach and timeframe with you during the alignment phase, based on what your team actually needs to reference.
